Default Clink ! clink!

Hello !
my ar is 160k miles (255,000 km), TC has been changed at 66k on waranty 4year ago...Trany is working well in any speed!! but since a week there is a clink! clink sound under the car. I thought for a while that it could be an axle CV but not sure. When the car is standstill in neutral, there is nothing, as soon as is it in gear either forward or reverse, the clink is there ....but not always. At slow speed i can hear it but again it is not "permanent" at high speed (60 mph and +) may be it still there but not evident. So the question, could it be the TC ? I have no leaks from the tranny, and as i said it work relatively well !! TMO....
What could it be ??? It is not a loose part or a "ratle".....
Need help.

with the miles you have on your ar, i wouldn't be surprised if the center drive shaft cv joint is worn.

happened on my Volvo XC that i had before the ar
due to age and heat, the boot breaks down, throws the grease, and the joint wears out.

i know there is a shop here in Denver that all they do is rebuild axles and drive shafts, and they should be able to tackle one from an Audi

Well !! i am pretty sure that i found my "clink! clink!. It look like it is the front and /or the back joint(s) of the central shaft (from the transaxle to the differential). Most probably the front one. This part is not so expensive but "hard" to reach....(means a lot of labor to get it out an a new one in). Does anyone have ever had that problem ???

Every allroad owner hears that..it follows us........................................
the sound of our money dropping in other peoples pockets.
Just close your ears and enjoy the ride :-)

there is play in that main shaft. i bet its nothing but a inner cv front drive shaft inner cup bearings.

common ar failure on front drivers side inner.
