Default Best way to integrate Bluetooth with Symphony II and Bose

I used to have an 03, now I've just picked up an 02 Allroad with Bose Symphony II.

I would like to integrate Bluetooth so I can use my iPhone. I would like to be as OEM as possible, use the MFSW controls and see callers in the dash display.

Can this be done?

Default Best way is if you already have OnStar Audi Telemetrics

Check this link out:

This car does not have OnStar Telematics...

So, what's the second best way?

Default yes, building on what 03_AR mentioned, nsx jr also has a non-Onstar kit.

it's not that hard to install, but depending on where you're located, there might be someone local who has done this before. Also check out www.audiforum.us for some more info on this.

Default start with audiforum.us --

there are some resources for you there. I bought mine form a seller named "Proxus" - his whole business is sourcing RNS-Es for the various models and selling them.

Default yes. Not that hard to do in your car....

mount the OEM BT module, behind the glovebox, and run the mic wire up the passenger A pillar (see tech section).

You'll need:
1) a new domelight panel ($50) to house the oem mic
2) BT module: $300+
3) BT antenna: $15
4) OEM mic and wiring harness: $200-ish

You need to tap into 8 wires behind your Sym II to make this work and recode (VAG) your MFSW for phone control etc.

It's a bit pricey if you want to stay OEM but very doable. I think I have the parts in stock to build this for you if you like -- you'll just need to source some of the parts on your own.

Good luck!

Or you can get a BT speakerphone for $75 that clips to your visor and save a ton of cash :-)
