Default Do these need internet connectivity do you know?

Just curious if they are stand alone of assisted type apps...

Would like to use these outside of the US, where internet connectivity is not so good...

Default it uses web content and iphone gps data (cell towers, etc)

i dont think the iphone uses the gps signal that navigation units do, rather some triangulation from other sources such as cell towers, etc

it can give you audio and visual alerts (if left running) or push notifications and text messages (not that I would want text msgs)

lets users rate pois with a click/gesture on the iphone and provides a confidence level for each one

just ran trapster and it showed me some red light cameras right around the corner

it also overlays on google maps (when using a computer)

the poi are real time

havent driven with it yet

will need to keep the iphone powered on and visible and the app running, means i cant play music or take calls at the same time (you actually can with push alerts)
