Default Arnott spring/compressor question

Just installed new Arnott front springs, but they are not filling up. The compressor is running and the rear springs are moving up so that leads me to believe something is suspect with the distribution manifold, if there is one. Anyone have any ideas? We just talked with Arnott, but they didn't have any good ideas.

Vag-Com available? I had to "reset" and clear a DTC when I did it.

Default check your lines to the air spring.

did you also check the sensor arms on each corner?

Why the replacement?

Default Re: chck lines to spring; just did-not much pressure

Checked airlines; compressor running yields very low air pressure to the front. Removal from bag did release 'some' air but not all that much; about the same as the removal of the old 'audi' bag.

Why replace: gradually had air leakage from the airbags. Replaced after front no longer came up from ground.

sounds like the manifold is the problem...needs oil I think.

Default Re: i had the same problem

at the bottom of the arnott suspension there is a section that twists...aluminum section(you can see kind of like a cut in the asembley) and when you twist that the spring should 'fall' in place over the shock strut. it is easier to do when you turn the car on so the air is fed to the spring...

Quick question, when you replace the air springs, did you lower the car on the empty springs? is that safe?

Thanks

After you installed the Arnott suspension you need to give the car some time to get it to pressurise all the bags.
I had to switch the car on and off a few times before the suspension came up correct.
I also replaced with Arnott Bags but the front left hand side of the car goes down after some time.
I guess i have to look at the distribution block.

perhaps you have to check the O ring. Most likely it is not in place fully or is faulty
