does anyone no why my 2.7 is burning out coils? put new coils on every plug and less than 500 miles and coils are acting up.i'm new to this site and would greatly appreciate some advice.

ok, thanks i'll do that, i have the service manuall and i'll be sure to let my mechanic no, becouse he's going to replace coils becouse they are under warrenty. when he changed my timing belt is when he changed coils. it was running poorly becouse of bad coil and then ran great for 500 miles. now doing same thing as before.

I stopped by my local Audi dealer to get some parts about a week ago, and the guy there told me i could have all my coils swapped on guarantee from Audi.
He told me all Allroad 2,7-s pre some date could have this done free of charge.
They take out the old coils and replace it with the updated version..
I asked him what this was all about, and he said that it was a bit weird, since the car is so old (03) -but he did´nt know much more than that.
Sounds like an international initiative from Audi, you might want to check that out?

did u use aftermarket coils or OEM coils?
the most recent audi/vw verson is the 'R' coil i just bought a set they like 20 bucks or so a peice from the dealer.
i used an aftermarket coil lasted only a few hundred miles
