A4 or A6 allroad likely coming to US
Per MotorTrend article:
As Audi unveiled the A4 allroad quattro at the Geneva Motor Show today the company also revealed that the car could come to the North American market, four years after the A6 allroad quattro quietly exited.
"When we launched the A6 allroad the first time, it was still the high time of big SUVs," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi's board member for sales and marketing. "And I think it was hard for a new concept to compete against the SUVs. This might have changed in the last 12 months, so we probably have to reconsider what we do on the allroad side, whether it is A4 or A6."
The Audi A6 allroad quattro was sold in the U.S. from 2000 to 2005, but when sales dropped from a first-year high of nearly 6,000 units to just 2,249 units, Audi pulled the plug rather than bringing the second-generation model to our shores. Since 2005, though, the popularity of trucks and SUVs has plummeted while all wheel-drive crossovers have become all the rage.
Because of that new trend, Audi is now talking with Audi of America about bringing over the all wheel-drive A4 allroad quattro when it goes on sale later this year. The Euro-spec A4 allroad quattro will start at 37,100 euros, or about $46,519 at the current exchange rate. Audi has not indicated what U.S. pricing would be.

Re: ...could be cool depending on engine and transmission choices (please bring the manual)
I agree. One of the main reason that I bought the AR was because of the 6spd.

Please no
47K for an A4?!!? Are they insane. Thatll never happen. AoA will reject as there is no market for this car. Think how small the avant sales are and then take maybe 1/3 of that? Theyd never be dumb enough to do this, especially in a market like this one right now.
