Default 2005 Audi allroad 4.2: Stock exhaust -vs- Magnaflow exhaust

This is my 2005 4.2. It has 28000mi w/ all available options except nav.
I just completed the installation of Magnaflow polished stainless steel performance mufflers and 3.5" double walled stainless tips. Deans Muffler Customs in Roseburg, Oregon performed the work. http://www.northwindexhaust.com
The engine sounds much beefier IMHO, and seems to open up much quicker with acceleration.
The complete job including labor and materials was $450. The link to youtube is a before and after sound of both exhausts. I will be sending my ECU to APR next week to be chipped. I hope you like the post.

Sounds horrible, you should sell me your car. I'm in Seattle and could be there by 3pm today.

Default It was very cold in my garage the morning of the stock exhaust segment. That's steam/ condensation

coming from the tips at idle.

Default no offense but

they both sound lame.

As someone who had one I learned that the 4.2 sounds pretty industrial when cold. (better than the washing machine sounds of the cold 2.7T) Now when its warmed up it really does sound good. But the whine we are hearing is just noise...louder with the new exhaust, but still noise to my ears.

lets hear some warmed up clips. It looks good tho.

Default WTH was that at the end of the video???

Sounded like the engine fell on the floor?

Sounds nice with the Magnaflow, but I think it also sounds nice as stock.

That's a nice, very low mileage car!
I'm buying it......will be over on Saturday morning.

Default Wow tough crowd! I was in hurry...I can't re-record the before, but I may record and

re-post the after with the engine warm. I will include spelling corrections for the teacher. The sound at the end is the door closing.
