Secondly, does any one know what the 2 hour flashy thing is really for? Reminder to stretch?!

Default Manual says, for safety you should stop & rest for 15 min every 2 hrs.
You'll notice the 2:00 will stop flashing if the car is turned off for 15min, under that it will keep flashing. I find it to be a really helpful thing on long road trips.
