Looked at an '03 MT today; looks good but the rear bumper has a gash on the side and was penetrated. Size of about a silver dollar.

I'm considering a full-paint job to achieve the "full paint" profile (is that doable?) so just curious if the bumper can be filled / patched or if I'd need to order a new bumper - that would be a deal killer.

Also, it's a Colorado car and the headlight lenses are yellow. I've seen posts for refinishing kits, but these look well beyond refinishing. Are the A6 headlights compatible? Having trouble sourcing via Google. Were the '03's Xenon or Halogen?

Other facts; 104k miles, one owner, timing belt & clutch just replaced, he has all service records. Asking $12,500. KBB is quoting no more than $9k but that probably doesn't take into account how rare the MT's are.

I got 130k 2001 MT for 6.25k and had another seller lined up for 2002 @ 130k @ 6.25k as well but before he decided to sell I already acquired 2001. This was NY/CT/MA market (craigs).

Try other markets as your price seems horribly high?

nharfert, I don't know about the bumpers, but we just bought a 2001 AR 6spd in Denver last week. It now has 115K on the clock and the timing belt was done 5K ago. We paid $6350 if that helps you put their asking price in perspective.
