If it wasn't the family hauler I think I would pick them up just to see how they are. If made in China, I'd steer clear.

Lots of bogus goods (including brake pads) I read an article a while back that specifically highlighted some Chinese made pads that weren't made from contents claimed. Destined to deteriorate early
