Safety Recall 74E3 - no remedy?
USA - Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS). Received the recall notice from Audi of America yesterday, called this am to schedule (letter states your authorized dealer can begin repairing on Jan 21, 2022). The scheduler said there's no remedy in the system at this time. Also stated they're still waiting on a remedy for a notice that went out in December. Anyone have historical data to set my expectations for getting this remedy?

I often wonder how they go about repairing something that has no remedy, what do they do call in a Shaman to practice healing the car part?

Could just mean that the remedy will be released to dealers on Jan 21...

Could be worse:

Audi has known about this problem for some time now. I believe there was a previous attempted repair (that failed). I have a 2018 A5 S Line Coupe that tells me at startup that the passenger airbag is disabled. This is not a good thing. Hopefully the repair happens on schedule (JAN 21 2022). I am holding off on my regularly scheduled service while waiting for confirmation of the airbag repair.

Anyone have any idea how bad they tear the car apart to fix this?

I received mine yesterday. The dealer said that depending on your options and the type of sensor you have, it's sometimes attached to the seat covering. You don't have much of a choice.
