Default RS5 Hit. What to do?

Someone smashed into my RS5 while it was parked in the parking lot today. Damage doesn’t look terrible but no telling what kind of damage below the surface. Just had it towed to for storage over the weekend and will be transferred to a shop recommended by my insurance company. What else can I do to make sure I’m not screwed on this? Will things like PPF and ceramic coating be covered by their insurance?

Sorry to see this. I suggest you make sure they check the right front suspension. It doesn't take much of a side impact to screw it up.

I hope it gets fixed to your satisfaction.

WTF? How did the windshield crack on the other car? Are idiots attracted to parked RS5s?

That sucks, but looks relatively minor as there's way too much damage to the other car in comparison to yours. What else did the other car hit ?

Sorry it happened to you. Your questions can only be answered by your insurance company working with the other car's insurer. Hopefully the other car has insurance. Otherwise it can get ugly in a non-no-fault insurance state.

Without inspecting the vehicle, that looks like at least $7K in parts & labor damage to your car. Maybe more as noted in the link in Nikon1's post above.

Thanks everyone. Apparently the driver sped through an intersection and hit a commercial truck that was passing by and bounced off into my car. Hoping the damage is mostly cosmetic and nothing serious comes out of it. Anyone have any experience with asking for coverage of the depreciation from the accident they can share?

Looks expensive. I see headlight, fender, wheel, lower front bumper, front suspension damage and alignment. Bet its > $10 k to fix.

These cars truly are magnets for idiot drivers. Two nights in a row last week, I was cut off at the same location where two lanes merge to one by a merging car and had to swerve to avoid an accident. On Friday, the other driver became enraged after I honked; he started punching his dashboard and windshield and waving his arms wildly and then proceeded to tailgate me down several roads for at least five minutes. I actually had to alter my route home so I could more easily lose him.
