Default Presenting the AWE AirGate™ Carbon Intake for the B9 S4/S5/RS4/RS5. Available Now.

Break the mold. Presenting the AWE AirGate™ Carbon Intake for the Audi B9 S4 / S5 / RS 4 / RS 5:
  • Designed, engineered, and tested in-house at AWE
  • Intoxicating turbo spool when under boost with lid off, stealthy with lid on
  • Available with or without AirGate™ lid -- change intake volume as desired
  • Max gains of 17 hp and 13 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels for B9 S4 / S5 3.0T (with piggyback tuner)
  • Max gains of 16 hp and 3 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels for B9 RS 4 / RS 5 2.9TT (with piggyback tuner)
  • Features the durable and washable high-flow AWE S-FLO Filter
  • Perfect integration with OEM inlet ducting
  • Smooth transition from airbox inlet to turbo inlet
  • Retains stock mounting locations
  • Genuine 2x2 carbon fiber construction
  • UV-stabilized resin and clear coat
  • Perfect fitment - guaranteed
  • AWE No Check Engine Light Guarantee
The AirGate™ Carbon Intake for the Audi B9 S4 / S5 / RS 4 / RS 5:

The AirGate™ Carbon Intake allows options for those seeking more volume from their intake when under boost. Want to hear more turbo inductions sounds from within the cabin? Go lidless. Prefer to keep it a bit more stealthy? Simply bolt the AirGate™ lid in place with a few turns of two easily-accessible hex screws, and the AirGate intake transforms into a sealed configuration.

Constructed of genuine 2x2 carbon fiber with a UV-stabilized resin and clear coat, the AirGate™ Carbon Intake mounts securely to the stock location and integrates with the factory ducting perfectly via the AirGate’s floating airbox inlet.

The S-FLO Filter:

The included AWE S-FLO Filter is designed specifically for this air box to be easily serviceable and to maximize airflow. This increase in airflow unlocked maximum gains of 17 hp and 13 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels for the 3.0T, and 16 hp and 3 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels for the 2.9TT when paired with a piggyback tuner.

The combination of carbon fiber airbox and included S-FLO Filter makes for a more aggressive intake note, with an intoxicating turbo spool sound.

Upgrading options:

The AirGate™ Carbon Intake can be purchased with or without the AirGate Lid. If you want to add the lid later, no problem.

What’s in the box?:

AirGate™ Carbon Intake, carbon lid (if chosen), S-FLO Filter, and all necessary hardware.

Do you have any dyno results from a bone stock car?

I see your dyno results are with a piggyback and exhaust.

I don't. Our protocol is to test products with the power applications available to ensure our products will not act as a bottleneck for future upgrade paths. You can expect to see similar gains on factory software, but more will be gained when paired with other power add-ons, respectively.

Any exhaust note video with exhaust + intake installed on a B9 sportback yet?

Negative, and likely won't be (from me, anyway). Customer vids are highly likely, though

Understood. But a lot of folks may be insterested who don't have a piggyback and/or exhaust.

Us folks that may be interested don't want to risk losing power by adding an intake on a bone stock car.

I am really interested to know what this intake sounds like with the lid on. I really don't want a bunch of BOV sounds coming through the cabin all the time.

Pardon, but what would influence you to think you would lose power?

The turbo can definitely still be heard, but it is not as pronounced as it is with the lid off.

I have read that a lot of modern cars (especially turbo ones) will not benefit from an intake system. Furthermore, if the intake design is poor, you may actually lose power.

That is why I'm asking if you can provide a dyno tune run on a bone stock car and one with your intake added.

I understand you don't want to do that, and it's fine.
