Noise when driver door is opened
Anyone have a clue what the noise is when one opens the drivers door? Starts after about a second and then sounds like something maybe retracting? Only the driver's door and seems to be every time it is opened.

The window goes down to accommodate the door being open. Very slight. I would venture to guess that is what you are hearing.

I believe it is the fuel pump priming, I had a 2012 A5 prior to my S5 and it did the same thing. I also have a Maserati 4200 with the F1 system that does something similar upon opening the driver side door where it primes the F1 pump.

I think you're probably right.. hadn't thought of the fuel pump. It is quite loud.
