Heads Up Display Thumbs up or down?
My 2018 SB has HUD and I thought it was going to be great but it hasn't been great for me. I don't even think about it anymore. When I wear polarized sunglasses I can't see it. I trade HUD for remote start. Thoughts?

First car with HUD and would never get another one without it again.

I never cared anything about it until I had it on my BMW. I bought a Prestige almost specifically to get it on my A5. I am now aggravated when driving vehicles that don't have it.

Your trading “oranges for shelving“ in your statement. HUD is nice — it could certainly have more info but, for now, I appreciate it.
Remote start is a Plug ‘n’ Play solution at this point with aftermarket solutions that work better than ANY factory system I’ve ever seen AND they are easy to install as well as remove (if you’re leading). Details @ the link, below:

Short answer: Meh on HUD. Meh on Remote Start, but I don't live in the arctic.
My wife had an RR with HUD. It was leased and the new RR doesn't have it due to whatever mix of options. She doesn't miss it.....or I would hear about it. She was more concern that she got the little cooler in the console and massaged seating.
I've never had my own DD with HUD, but I've driven hers plenty. Couldn't really see it with my sunglasses. With today's LED displays, and being semi-configurable, you can display the information that's important to you and make it easy to see at a glance.
A couple of options I really like are Adaptive CC and headlights. My RS5 has neither. Just the wrong mix of options. I wish it did.

PS. I do live in the arctic and still don't need remote start. The car and heated seats warm up very quickly once you start driving, it doesn't warm up as quickly if you idle it.

Remote start for me is not as much for Arctic Temperatures — rather cooling the interior down when it’s those hot and humid months. Both summers that I’ve had my car, even with the UV rejecting tint and the windshield shade, getting into a 120° interior is tough!
Before I put the remote start in, I would leave the seat fans on but until the interior cooled down, it was just recirculating cabin heat. Based on my last car having the same remote start system, those 120° interior days are behind me.
