The downside of a driving a de-badged A5...
On my way out of CO Springs this evening , a 2010/ish Masaratti coupe races up behind me on the freeway...
The driver is a 30-something dude with standard issue DC hat & white plastic sunglasses. He swerved along side looking at my A5... he got a car-length ahead... looking in his rear view.
He drifts back alongside, sticks his arm out his window raises it up and makes a whirling gesture. I haven't 'raced' since the early '80s but I know that means it's ON. I mash the gas, forgetting that my sunroof was open and I was in my usual 'Comfort' setting. We stayed together for about 30 seconds but I'm old and there was traffic so I waved him on and went back to cruising with the Drivers Assistance setting on.
I chuckled to myself, and used Siri to send a text to the Frau telling her what happened & asking the rhetorical question... "is this the way it's gonna be when I drive my car now?"

The last car (non 4x4 truck/SUV) I owned was a 1972 Gran Torino 4-door that was my high school ride in the late 70's early 80's. Sadly, I crashed it just a few weeks before I joined up with the Navy Seabees.
Now that I think of it, it too was white and the A5 Sportback is very reminiscent of the Gran Torino's swooping back line and jet intake grill*. Maybe that's what sub consciously attracted me to A5.
*the '72 Gran Torino had the best looking grill of the entire generation in my opinion.

N8!,
Had you been in dynamic with the sunroof closed you def could have taken him! How do you like that stretch between castle rock and denver? I've hit triple digits several times right there, makes visiting the family down there a bit more fun.

That whole drive you can push it but def when it widens up north. My 8am commute from Cherry Creek to the tech center allows me to enjoy the B&O more so than the engine.
