Can you provide a link and approximate cost or PM the link?

Thank You! I ordered there kit this morning, with the SD cards, not the download option. They have a 10% off sale going on so that reduced the price.

Again — Thank You for posting this option.

I used the Navman services too with supplied sd cards, worked like a charm.

Would love to hear your experience with it John when you receive and install it. I'm on Apple CarPlay all the time (using a wireless adapter for it) in my A4 and A5, but I might splurge for a map update on the A5. Thanks!

@Ascari_Blue_A5 — This is the video that pushed me to buy the kit.

I will post up my end result. So far, the NavMan team has been very responsive.

Interesting, I didn't realize that Ben Weaving was The NavMan.

I received the kit yesterday and installed this afternoon. Instructions were outstanding — numbered step-by-step. As someone who wrote engineering and technical documentation in my career, I certainly appreciate the level of detail in the instructions. Start-to-finish it was about 75 minutes. The instructions say to either have the Audi battery on a battery charger or leave the engine running for the entire process.

The only stumble I had was remembering how to update the maps from the SD Card. Took me a little while but it did come back to me.

While everything went to plan, I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t nervous but it all worked as it should and my previous map version (NAR 2020/2021) has been updated to NAR 2023/2024.

I’m not sure how Audi’s software revision system works but as the photo below shows, it appears that my MU REV dropped after this update:

Unless newer software is a decrementing counter. Either way, it is worth it to me to get the map update as well as any other “fixes” it implemented.

I remember in the original thread discussing MMI updates, it was discovered that there were several branches and that one of them was unable to be updated (I think it was 1320). If that’s the case, you may have been “downgraded” so that the updates could be applied.

Quick Reply: Confused about software/nav updates
