Default Coil packs and plugs for 034 Motorsports Stage 3

I started having some intermittent misfires on Cylinder 5 of my '19 S5. It's currently running 034 Motorsports Stage 3 ECU and TCU tune. The previous owner upgraded the coil packs to the APR ones but I don't know what plugs it's currently running. I figured if I'm going to go through the trouble of replacing one I might as well just replace all of them since don't know for sure when the last time they were done was and I'll already have it taken apart.

Does anybody have recommendations for coil packs and plugs with it running a stage 3 tune? I feel like I've been getting some conflicting info when I've done some searching around online. Seems like the consensus is it definitely needs upgraded coil packs (I may just buy the APR ones again unless somebody has a better suggestion) but for the spark plugs I've been seeing some people say the OEM VW/Audi ones are fine and others saying I need to upgrade those to something else as well. If there's a good set with everything you could point me too that'd be great so I can just place one order and be done with it.

Any help is appreciated!

So yes, you’ll want to replace plugs frequently on a stage 3 setup (you didn’t specify pure750, 710 or 810?). What “frequently” means will depend on whether you’re running e85 or pump fuel most of the time and if you’re living on the edge with that 810 or pure750 - or more conservative with the 710.

For coilpacks, if you ask 034 I’m sure they’ll recommend their own- but they’re certainly not mandatory. They will also recommend a Brisk plug for stage 3 claiming the stock plugs “can’t handle the heat” - though I’d argue (based on what I’ve seen on AZ and FB) that the brisks are certainly not without issues (misfires). All that said, I run OEM coil packs on a 710 with OEM plugs that I try to replace every ~5k miles (when bought via FCP Euro, it’s nearly free to swap them). Bottom line I guess is refer to 034’s website for their hardware recommendations of the month - because they certainly have changed since software was released.

Also, you may want to send some logs to 034 to review the current misfire issues prior to swapping parts. And then new logs after. Hope you get it corrected.

Default Stage 3 Spark Plugs

Regarding Spark Plugs on your stage 3 build. Since you are adding extra fuel and air and therefore higher temps, you should go with a "Colder" plug.
