Default Carplay issues

I know this is a contant issue , but my '24 S5 SB is a nightmare on trips. Everytime I stop at a gas station or stop for lunch, I can't get CarPlay to work again. Audi, WTF

Did you check your phone settings and make sure that your WiFi is set to auto join?

Yes, my phone is set to auto join. The problem shows up after CarPlay working fine and then going to a gas station. All of a sudden the screen shows the phone is deactivated. And then the CarPlay goes on and off. My car is a "Premium Plus" model and does not have Nacigation so I rely on CarPlay for Navigation. It worked very well in my previous MINI.

Do you have an option of using a cable?? My '19 RS5 requires a cable and candidly, I've never had any issues with CarPlay.

My '23 S5 wireless Carplay is not the greatest. It does lose connection. My brother has a '21 S5 and he says the same. The MMI app works better.

Default Using the cable

I use the cable because the wireless charger heats the phone up and the phone will shut off on long trips. The issue is with the car.

And my cradle makes it so easy to connect your phone:

My wife’s ’23 Q7 does this as well. It will
just randomly disconnect from her phone but I haven’t had any issues with my ‘22 RS5. We have the same phone and I set them up exactly the same for both cars but she will have the disconnection issues and I haven’t had a single issue… yet
