Door latches. Not sure you want to put tape over that though?

Hi guys, 2019 A5 SB went in for 1st annual service and I mentioned the hatch noise (which I thought I had alleviated by securing the rear shelf parcel and putting tape around license plate, but it slowly returned) and they said they ended up having to re-torque the rear suspension to fix it. Has anyone seen this before?
p.s. According to my wife the noise still happens over bigger bumps.

In my case the dealer found the problem with passenger side back seat latch - they applied felt tape. They also found rattle from trunk cover (guess the board that covers the spare tire etc.) they applied felt tape there too. The rattle seems to be gone, for now. I have not yet investigated exactly where they put the felt tape.

That rattle is the weight for the shoulder belt locking mechanism as its meant to move forward under heavy braking. Does it in my A5 cab and my wife A5 sportback, both 2019's

I have the same issue and am 99% certain it's from the panel that clips into the rear screen/hatch. When I remove the panel, the clip on the passenger side is not as firmly affixed to the panel as the clip on the driver side, and I can recreate the rattle while holding/shaking the panel. After 3,500 miles, it doesn't annoy me as much as it did initially, but definitely going to ask the dealer to swap it out when I take it in for its first service.

I have the same issue. The shelf that attaches to the hatch rattles on the passenger side only. I can tap it while it is attached and recreate the noise or if I take the shelf off the car, I can tap on it and recreate the rattle. I am planning to take it in for a replacement under warranty.
I've had the dealer try to fix this 2-3 times (once they kept the car for several days) and while it seemed as though they initially fixed it, the rattle persists.
Now with almost 22k miles on mine, I'm resolved myself to living with it...it's not terrible, but certainly annoying.

The guy who referenced this TSB had noise coming from both sides of the rear of his A5 when going over bumps, but I think most who have this complaint (myself included) have the rattle isolated to the rear passenger side area.

Hello,
This rattle has been driving me crazy for several months. I was at the dealer's, but at the time, it didn't want to rattle ...
I tried to find the cause myself. And I succeeded. In my case it was a plastic trunk panel, to which a shelf is mounted. When I take out the shelf, I can recreate rattles by hitting in the panel (around the window).
For now, I put felt tape between the glass and this plastic panel, as in the picture. It doesn't look good, but I wanted to see if the rattle would give way. And that's how it happened. Now I will go to the dealer to remove the Panel and isolate it from the inside.
Before, when the shelf was mounted in the panel, the rattle was stronger (the shelf has some weight and intensified the rattle).
