Let's just say this: they bought a local Audi dealer I'd bought 6 cars from, got a call from my salesman saying he was leaving, went in on 2 occasions to see about a car, walked out both times and won't go back. Fortunately there are other Audi dealerships here still independently/family owned......maybe that tells you what I think.

I asked my sales rep regarding my vehicle and he said the vehicle is soon to arrive to the dealership and sent me the VIN number. How soon? Don't know. He is on vacations until dec 21 but he said there will be a chance that i might get the car before he comes back from vacations. This is in Toronto if anyone is wondering.

As soon as a vehicle goes into production it's assigned a VIN and that shows up in the Audi system that the dealer uses so yes, they ordered some cars and have the vin's and yes they are "in transit", the question is where and when? Are the on the way to the port for shipping, on a ship, on a truck to the dealer. And can they be released by the feds ir Audi from the pirt? I've seen the Audi system and it's very detailed so you need an honest and open dealer to tell you exactly where a particular vehicle is as it's "in transit". Looks to me like they just loaded those vehicles into their website so people looking will find their dealerships. Not bad marketing but not sure it really helps.

My local dealer now has 2019 S5s and S4s listed as well. Guessing they've finally been released.
