Audi's sales dropped significantly in October (https://media.audiusa.com/en-us/releases/279) and I expect the same in November given the challenged inventory situation. I believe AoA had a streak of something like 100 consecutive monthly YoY sales increases.

I gave the spec of the car options and color I wanted. My dealer in NJ was able to locate one at a OH dealership. He said they would do a swap. I put down a deposit. That was 10/31/18. Today 11/29/18 there is still no word on it. My dealer said he had no control. It is done by Audi USA transport and he did not know what happened. And the car was already indicated that it was purchased. Get this, my dealer kept on telling me every week that it would be here. I sold my car and transferred my insurance already. I am very upset about this. Of course, there's more to the story regarding to also the price, he gave me initially a good price but when I found out about the $750 cash bonus and $1000 Audi finance rebate (I could pay off after 6 months) and I asked him. He said they were already included on the discount! Other dealers who wanted my business were not including these and therefore were beating his price. Funny thing is, when I presented to my dealer, he simply said that those other dealers didn't have the car, and the low price was for stock cars!! Guess what, my dealer just got a stock S5 Sportback in white. I was not really that fond of White but for curiosity, I asked if I can get that one. He had no problem but when I asked that he should take off more than what we agreed on due to it being stock, he then said he couldn't! What a jerk!!! But this really motivates me to take back my deposit and shop somewhere else. But really I wasted so much time being stung along.... this week is the last week I am willing to wait.
