Here are my two non-scientific (and slightly desperate) metrics for A5 release:
1) http://audilibrary.audiusa.com/models/a5s5/index.html This has recently appeared.
2) The only 2019 models that can register for a new My Audi account via the pull-down menu are: A6, A7, A8, Q8. The A6 was added last week some time.
So, my non-scientific hypothesis is that the A5’s will be released soon, with a correlation to when the A5 appears in the pull-down menu. This being my first Audi, and not yet having a VIN on my completed A5SB build, I have been trolling the My Audi to make an account for about a month.

So, my S5SB has landed but is still in pre-launch hold. Dealer says release is planned for December at the same time as the RS5SB but couldn't provide a specific date.

Still at the port (I think) - updates anyone?
As far as I know, my S5 SB is still at the port in Houston and has been since 10/23. Dealer is quiet, no new updates, though I haven't asked in a while. Has anybody else heard anything from their dealer? This is getting ridiculous...

Vegas currently has an even moneyline for whether the MY2019 vehicles will be released in 2018 or 2019.
