As soon as I read the press release about the new launch models, I reached out to my dealer and they were able to get an allocation for me... which I was kinda surprised about.

Which one did you get and what's your delivery date? I also found 2 Ascari locally with one due in the next week or so and one coming in DEC/JAN. I got a deposit on the one in Dec as it works better for me (remodeling house so garage is filled with materials).

I got the Black Optic launch edition. It's actually ready and waiting at the dealer right now. Likely picking up on Friday.

Congrats! Just found out that the dealer with the Ascari coming next week place a 10K premium on theirs. Glad I place the deposit on the one from another dealer coming in Dec/Jan.

You mean they're trying to sell it for $10k above MSRP? Attempting to sell an RS5 or S5 above MSRP is absurd, as they are fast depreciating luxury cars that are nowhere close to collectible and already several years old.

Yea. It's not like it's an RS6 which is in high demands. An Ascari with a 10K premium means I can get a RS6 for about 10K more in 6 months. I'll just buyout my lease and wait if I don't like the Ascari Blue.

P.S. Does anyone have experience if they will honor Audi Club discount on RS cars?

P.P.S: He also let slipped that they manage to get another Ascari allocation from the factory so it looks like demands are not that high. Especially since the 2021 model offers no performance gain and just a facelift and I'm the only person that have inquired about the one they have coming next week or so.

Yes, I don't see any pent up demand for the RS5 considering that it has been out for almost three years and is soon going to compete with a redesigned M3. That dealer is going to enjoy sitting on the Ascari launch model until it comes back to reality with pricing.
