Boy, am I glad I opted for the Dynamic Plus at $5,500 for CCB on the MY19 B9 ...
While $20,500 is steep considering it is the only way to get CCB, if you price out all of the options included in the package, the price is about what you would pay if all optioned separately.

If you add all the options that the Ascari Launch included. It's actually about the same.

So the only way to get 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel is to opt for either Ascari or Black Optic Launch Edition? Is this a bug the way the configurator represents the images or is it something new? I thought it is related to the RS Driver assistance package, but after deselecting it still shows round steering wheel.

‘Not a bug, it seems. The configuration specifically lists the “flat bottom steering wheel (without heating and hands-on detection)” within the Black Optics and Ascari packages. I believe the standard round steering wheel comes with heating and hands-on detection.

Yea I confirmed with my dealer the other day that to get the flat bottom you need a Launch Edition and it will be a flat bottom Alcantara wheel. The regular wheel will be the same one used in the RS6/RS7 and I got to take a look at those in the showroom the other day as well and I liked. the wheel. It has the new RS Mode button and the wheel itself still feels pretty good it your hands

Thanks for confirming! My biggest gripe is that it’s impossible to order black / rock gray stitching interior and flat bottom steering wheel. If the launch edition selected, the seats are red-stitched.

You can't even order a launch edition car (it says that on the build sheet). I suppose Audi has decided which dealers get the Launch Edition cars so maybe you need to get lucky to get the launch edition you want in the color/style you want. I'm considering a custom order Turbo blue Coupe with BO kit OR trying to find a Daytona Gray Coupe BO Launch Edition in my area.... decisions, decisions...

Curious about the pricing differences between the Audi RS5 press release & the configurator. ie:

RS5 Sportback Base Model: $75,400 MSRP
Audi Media Release: 2021 Audi RS 5 Sportback Black optic launch edition - $87,400 MSRP
Configurator: Price as built - $96,940

Other than selecting the Black Optic package ($12,000) is I selected Black paint ($595).

So there seems to be quite the difference, ~$9540... Seems like the configurator doubling up on adding the Dynamic Package, Nav Package & Driver Assistance package?

WTF!

$89,040 should be the MSRP, add $595 for color and $1,045 for destination.

I think it also a bug on the configurator. On the order sheet you can just get the Launch Edition package (BO or Ascari) and the cost is listed as $12,300 or $20,500 respectively. Each edition list which options come with it. So I believe the press release is still correct and the site just has a bad bug there
