Dealing with the same issue in my brand new S5 sportback with the sport pkg/sport diff. Not liking this at all (although not THAT big of a deal, just inconvenient).

i didn’t want to put the jack under the spare as someone correctly identified the subwoofer under the spare.

Waiting on a weathertech trunk liner and just received a trunk storage ‘box’ from Amazon so that’s where it is housed right now. Will take it out when I need the room but don’t want to be jackless.

Some pics below if this helps anyone. Would have liked to have known this before buying but again, not such a huge problem.

Fortunately, my 2018 has the pockets under the floor for the jack and tools, but if it didn't it would bug me to have it out like that all the time. If it were me I would keep the jack and tools in the garage and rely on roadside assistance and then the two or three times a year we take a road trip with the car, I would pack the tools and jack in case they were needed in a remote area.

I was able to fit my jack, in the bag, behind the storage compartment on the right side. Take out the storage compartment, and place it vertically between the tail light and fuel filler. The storage compartment is deep but it does go back in. Mine hasn't rattled. Definitely keep it in the bag to avoid metal on metal contact - would hate to get a dent from the inside.

Any chance you could include a photo of how you have it stored ?

Sure, here it is on the right, and I even got the owner's manual in there, which is in the center. That quarter panel goes deep.

Default Found a spot

I found a spot right here. However I’m not sure if the wires will not get chafed with time

Thanks for this idea. Just got my 2019 S5 today and couldn’t figure out what to do with the jack. Your suggestion appears to work perfectly.

This person left the jack in the bag and placed next to tire: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post13959480

Need to hold the jack in place, then put in the tire. The tire is a bit offset to the right.
