Default Who has a 2.0 with 6 speed?

Kind of took a chance here...ordered my A5 with 2.0 and manual transmission after only a very short test loop. Does anyone else have experience with this set up? My other car is a 225 TT Coupe which has decent performance. Is this car going to be painfully slow? How is the gas milage, and do the engine, trans/gearbox, and clutch "like each other" as in driveability and smoothness? Car is due by early January...the wait is insufferable!

i have the 2010 2.0T 6spd, its my first manual though but having driven other older manual cars as my manual training. I think this manual is smooth, even my friends who are into car tuning things its smooth. I don't think it will be painfully slow, its quick but not fast. Its the same as the 2010 A4 since its basically same setup minus 2 doors and 30kg lighter.

Chip it and you should notice some more power That's what I'm going to do

Having owned various cars with manual transmissions (Triumph, BMWs, TransAm and the lovely Pinto) I think the A5 manual is a bit notchy and bulky and the clutch throw is long. It's not horrible but Audi could have made a much better effort.

I agree, the A5 shifting experience is good but not great. Compared to my previous RSX-S, it's not as smooth but still shifts nicely. I do like that the A5 clutch is lighter than the RSX (much higher resistance) but it's range of motion is very long. From what I remember, the A5 throw does seem slightly shorter than a friend's 2004 S4 I drove a couple times. The shifter is also on the large side, but that's a personal preference.

Performance-wise, I think the 2.0 A5 performs well provided you are in the right gear.

If you chip it, post your experience! I'm looking into it.
