Twin Turbo S5?

Twin Turbo S5?
I am thinking about twin turbo'ing my custom ordered S5.
How much do you think it would cost?
Even with the small engine bay, could I get the turbo's in there?

not sure about the s5 but on the b7 S4 it would cost less to buy
a donor B5 s4 remove the engine, fully build it, then replace the v8. Dont think the engines are vastly different between the s5 and s4 so a supercharger may be the best route....still the cheapest at this point.
but yes it can be done, but dont expect to spend anything less than 20k on the custom setup.

"Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"
But seriously, anything is possible but it would cost quite a bit in fabrication and to a lesser extent, parts. Don't know if you would have to do an aftermarket stand-alone management system but if so, this would obviously add to the expense.

If Car Magazine is right...
Then you should sell it and get the 4.2TT RS5.
And to add turbos to that car would be very expensive. The higher compression ratio of the FSI motor means you'll either be VERY limited on how much boost you can run or you'll need to change the pistons. Then all the ECU work.

Buy a better car
If you want performance (read straightline AND handling) then why not buy a better car to start with? By the time you've gotten over the fact that you've lost your warranty and the added expense of technology that's unproven in this car, you might as well consider a Nissan GT-R. That car can walk around any Audi any time of the day while slurping on a bowl of noodles and not even break into a sweat.
If the S5 handled like a sports car, rather than a great all-purpose GT, it might be worth considering.

yeah, but are we talking daily driver or track car?
S5 >>>> 997 for a DD for a number of reasons.
VF's supercharger for the 997 is nuts though!
Can't wait to see what they do w/ the S5

Either
Works well either way. Amazing torque, and if you worry about the car getting out of control you do it to a C4S.
If you want to do a more track biassed car you would be better just saving for a GT3 and being done with it.
