S5 cab, is it a "girly" car?
Hi Everyone. First time poster and will be purchasing a S5 but I can't decide between the cab or coupe. I live in the North East and can get 6-7 months with the top down. I have bias (right or wrong) that a cab could be considered a “girly” car and please, no offence to anyone that owns one. I am leaning towards it but this one issue is nagging at me. I searched the forums and couldn’t find this topic for discussion, so any help would be appreciated.

While the cabriolet loses some of the lines of the coupe, it really comes down to: what do you like better and will you make use of the drop-top often enough to justify the extra cost?
The cabriolet does handle a bit differently than the coupe, mostly because of the extra weight due to additional structural components to keep as much of the integrity of the coupe without a roof. Also, you will be restricted to the S-Tronic transmission, which may not be a concern to you or others (losing the manual would be a downer for me).
As far as girly, I consider the 1 Series cabriolets to be "girly", ditto the previous generation TT/TT S-Line roadsters and the soon-to-be-replaced current generation MB SLK. But hey, that's just me

I think the coupe is all man. Some cabs in certain colors look girly. There is a white a5 cab with rims on this fourm. I think he goes by cabblow or something close to that. His car is bad *** and looks very much like a man's car. Really just depends on how you configure it.

It's all subjective. I think Miata's are girly cars, even though a lot of them can beat us on the track. But I still love my E36 M3 cab. Girls always want to ride with the top down, it's like having a motorcycle haha.
But the main reason, for me, for getting coupe vs. cab is better handling performance, and most of the time cabs are restricted at tracks if they don't have roll bars.
