Default RS5 Launch Control

Here I am sitting, waiting for my RS5 to show up, thinking about all the things I forgot to ask. I'm assuming the RS5 does have a launch control, if so how many launches is it good for before very expensive things start to happen? I've always had cars with a MT, so this is all new to me.

Yes, the RS5 has launch control. My 2012 S4 had an addendum added to the manual saying how to use launch control with the S-Tronic. I believe there was something on the page that said not to use it too often, but I may be mistaken.

P.S. I am also eagerly awaiting my RS5...

Once you get it, us RS5 front-rangers have to get together. Only at 451 miles, so haven't used L/C yet.

I should have my car just before Xmas with any luck. I think it's supposed to hit port on Dec 10th. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about winter wheels/tires. I think the set of wheels I have for my S4 will fit but I'm not positive.

I had heard the number for the RTronic on the R8 was 15, which is why I got a MT on my R8. I do hope the RS5 can do better than that.

I promise not to drive to NC and you'll have to promise not to drive to MA. I'm loving my Estoril Blue RS5 -- took delivery in August. I'm MacRS5 in AZ -- more pics posted on that forum.

But here's a single for you:
