Radio voice commands for 2011 S5
I justed traded in my '09 A5 for '11 S5. On my '09 I was able to set up voice tags for radio stations - ie ...hit the voice button and say "store station" - I was then prompted to name the station. Doing so, I was able to change stations using voice commands. It doesn't seem to the work the same with the new gen of MMI...and I can't find any radio voice command info the manual??? Has this feature been removed?

I don't have a 2011 so this might not help...but can you use the voice command 'help' while on the radio screen....that will tell me commands I can use in my 2009....

Hmmm interesting, haven't heard of this changing. I do know though that voice commands/tags can be activated using VagCom so if they did discontinue the radio commands for 2011 you should be able to activate them using Vag.

With 3G MMI Audi decided to remove radio commands from US cars for some reason. I'm not sure if this can be changed using VAGCOM, but at least from the factory, the only voice commands that work are for nav and phone.

2010+ cars have 3G MMI, which is a completely different system from 2009 (which was 2G MMI).

Whats odd with the 3G version is that there is a voice "learning" mode where the system asks you to say 40 commands so it can better identify your voice...several of the statements relate to the radio - such "next track" and "next station". Not sure why Audi would disable the radio voice controls..but perhaps it can be enabled with VAGCOM?
Imola, are you in the Scottsdale area? If so, PM with your contact info.
