Default question on comfort key charging...

I know, RTFM. I guess that the manual has what I need, but I don't have the manual in front of me. I had an A5 without the comfort access, and now have an S5 with it. In the A5, the key would charge when you stuck it in the dashboard. I don't ever do taht with the S5, will this cause an issue with the battery in the remote losing the charge? 3 months and no issue, but, just wondering...Thanks!

I've used my car 11 months and never put the key in the slot. Only the dealer does it while in for service.

In my 2009, I just had to replace the battery in my fob (I got a msg on the dash telling me the battery was low)....it's just a normal "watch" battery - not a rechargeable one...so I don't think putting it in the slot will charge it. It took about 5 seconds to change it btw

Yup-Very easy to do it yourself. $3 battery at CVS and less than 20 seconds to change it.
