Default phantom black really worth extra $750???

I have a phantom S5 on order but now I'm thinking to myself whether or not it is really worth the extra $750 over say brilliant black. On the day I ordered, dealer showed me both colors but on other cars (I think they were S4s) and I personally couldn't tell much of a difference granted the phantom was quite dirty...

Phantom and brilliant owners, what do you guys think???

I had the EXACT same issue. I then went to the dealership on a sunny Sunday afternoon, spent an hour there comparing the two colors. I could not for the life of me tell the difference unless I was about two inches from the car. I took about 10 high quality digital photos, and asked my wife to tell me which color was which, and she too could not tell the difference.

Called the next day and changed color to Brilliant Black!

Just another opinion!

Default I think there is some truth to that. The metalic may hide swirls and flaws that could develope.

About the only other thing you could claim with the Phantom is the fact that it's very rare.

Default It really looks nice. My wife's car is brilliant black and my S5 is phantom black, you can tell.

You also see less swirls and other things on phantom black than brilliant black.

Default

Absolutely. It's very noticeable and a tad easier to maintain than BB

Default My order is for BB. I have been told that the Phantom is easier to keep

by a local detailer. My B6 S4 is BB and shows swirl marks easily.

Maybe I'll change to Ibis....

Default I'm very happy with the Phantom also, wouldn't change it if I could.

It's rare, but people have commented on the color, rather than just calling it 'black' they notice the pearl effect and seem to like it.

I would not change your order.
