No auto-dim rearview mirror? Really?
So I am a little bit shocked that a $45k vehicle doesn't come standard with an auto-dim rear view mirror w/ compass. Getting past that, has anyone added one? Is it simply plug and play? I know some older models had it so the part exists, just curious what the cost is and the difficulty of the install.

It is part of the Prestige Package. Funny enough, my 2004 A4 had it, though its sticker price was $37K.
I'm not sure what the cost or labor would be to switch it out.

The auto-dim rearview mirror is only available in the Prestige Package on the A5/S5? I know it is included in Premium Plus for the 2011 A4.

My bad, I forgot that it was included in Premium Plus. I guess I was confusing it with the auto-dimming exterior mirrors
