Default Re: New M3 Pricing Announced

over 430 HP? The number I've seen is 450-480 bhp. Either a detuned Gallardo V10 or a Twin Turbo 4.2 V8 that is in our current car (S5). BTW I think the RS5 will dominate all the cars (M3, C63, and IS-F). Reason being that the RS5 will have similar or better straight line performance than the current class leading C63, and since the improved handling of the B8 model the RS5 will probably have very good handling (better than RS4). And nothing has to be said about the interior and quality of the rides. But I am still bummed that my S5 will get completely burned by a M3.

Default The reason the M3 is so fast is so that no one will have to look at it's ugly ***.

The S5 is a bit slower so more people can enjoy its sporty style and class, but for just a second.

Does that include the gas guzzler tax this car will have?

Default BMW loves the interlinked high priced "packages"....(more)

Premium
Sport
Technology

Pick any one and you get two if not three and add at least ~$10K to the bottom line. I think that price is deceptively low and once guzzler tax and all the extras are added in the average transaction price on the M3 will be in excess of $70K.

Those option prices have not been confirmed yet. That spreadsheet is not official.
