Default Model refresh

Does anyone know when Audi is planning a refresh for the A5/S5? If I am not mistaken, the current model has been around since 2007. Having a hard time turning in my A6 4.2 for an S5 if there is going to be a model refresh anytime soon. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Already happened over in Europe. Here in the States, you will be able to order them in another couple of month as 2013 models, check with your local Audi dealership and they can give you a more concret answer on the time.

There are many threads here and on the net with photos of the refreshed cars. Do a quick search and you will find them.

Refreshed S5 Coupe in US MY2013, which also replaces the V8 with the present Cabrio-similar s/c V6 with S-tronic. If you want a V8 then hurry and get the MY2012.

A5 will have the same engine - but a much better look IMO. The headlights will look more aggressive similar to the A7.

The S5 seems to be downgraded.. high price tag for a V6.

Having more power, being easily modified and better fuel economy... how can that mean a high price tag??

Welcome to the boards! A lot of current owners don't like the refresh front fascia/rear bumper. I like the tail lights the best.

Don't assume the 3.0 Supercharged engine is a "downgrade" unless you've driven both.

I'm not an expert, but I have heard and read that a new refreshed A5 is due out this summer 2012 as a 2013 model. In fact, that refresh is already out in Europe as the 2012 model, and there's lots of pics all over the net now. I don't think there's much change to the engine and rive train, but the interior is tweeked enough to matter and the exterior has tweeks here and there, most notably the headlights, tailights, bumpers and front grill.

Agreed but don't assume the 3.0 Supercharged engine is a downgrade period!

It’s a superb, high tech, award winning engine (Ward’s 10 Best Engines Winner three years in a row). Yes, everyone bitches about missing the V8 sound but I’m looking for more from an engine than how it sounds!
