Default Just ordered S5 and looking forward to it....

Quartz Grey
Automatic
Navigation
Tech Package
Drive Select
Carbon Atlas inlays
B & O stereo

Looked at the M3 (to pricey in comparison to S5) and the C63 (not as nice looking).

Anxiously awaiting the boat now...

Since I'm getting in on an order slot that was cancelled prior to build - they're saying earliest is end of April, latest is end of May. If they had to wait for a new order allocation slot, it could have been 2-3 months longer.
According to them, car will be built in the next 2-3 weeks according to their allocation. It was hard to find exactly the color/equipment combination on the East Coast for a dealer trade, hence the order.

Wow... nice find. A from scratch order (waiting for an allotment etc..) would be much longer!

The economy is causing this I suspect. There are "many" (in S5 terms) cars out there that are the victims of owners abandoning their orders due to financing falling through, lay-offs, falling residuals, etc. The problem is, these are all configured to someone else's desires. For instance, found a Quartz Grey automatic S5 on a dealer lot, but only option was the B&O stereo. This was a cancelled order that was already built and in transit.

Default Most of us don't care about a few tenths of a second

in zero to 60 or a second or two in the quarter mile. There is much more to a car than that. For smart people at least.

Default M3 too pricy? They are selling at 57K fully loaded!

No kidding, just checked this weekend.
I am in SF Bay area.
Nice choice with S5, though.
