How much will an RS5 cost in the US ?

You might be right, since it's just a rough rule-of-thumb that will differ from model to model. In any case, it's certainly more accurate than simply applying an exchange rate adjustment to the price in Euros and converting to dollars.

I thought I'd add my two cents into this. I was just in Hong Kong last week.
I visited both the Audi dealerships there and picked up a couple of nice brochures (they have nice glossy ones there and the RS5 one is a hard cover).
Anyway, they had a beautiful white RS5 in the showroom. Besides the brochure, I was given a price list as well.
Here's what it costs over there (not any indication of what it will cost here)
Retail price - HKD $700,000 (by today's conversion $88,901 Canadian dollars). Now here's the real killer which applies to ALL vehicles there.
Slap on the First Registration Tax and that RS5 is now HKD $1,302,500 which is $165,434 Canadian).

RS5 will start at $73k Prestige equipped except for ceramic brakes which will run you $9k. In Europe you have options and you can get a premium, premium plus or full equipped RS5. RS5 won't arrive until summer of 2012.

Where did you get that price from? Is the prestige package considered fully equipped (minus the ceramic brakes)? I have a prestige S5 and it's basically fully loaded, but I don't know if they've changed any of the terminology since then.

It better not be hideous.
Extra $9K for ceramics sounds logical. BTW did you know that is only the front pair?!? (I read that somewhere)

I think they have to position it to best the current M3 coupe, which goes for what, around $70k? I would expect for it to begin there or slightly below, and moving up with options. I just got my S5, and already I want an RS! Heh heh...
