1k over invoice, which I think was about a ~2k discount off msrp.

Definitely get the dealer to show you the invoice, and try not to be peeved that Audi of America includes the PDI (Prep) and Advertising fee on the invoice side of the equation ($398 total in my case). Meaning it's included in how they calculate invoice, not added on top like it should be. I argued for 15 minutes with my dealer about that since I negotiated a flat $1k over invoice.

Discount relative to invoice? You make it sound like people are buying under invoice. Bwhahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! What you really mean is discount to MSRP

how is it a discounted vehicle? Smaller engine, but by no means close to a focus?

what an arrogant answer, just because msrp starts at 36k doesn't mean i have to pay msrp, maybe this is an Audi thing, but you can get an '10 335i coupe for 500 over invoice which translating into 2-3k off of msrp. so by shopping around and trying to find discounts, which are very common practice among shopping for luxury car brands nowadays, i have to buy a Focus? lol, you guys acting like the A5 is a Ferrari Enzo or something. thanks for those who replied my question, personally i think between 500 and 1000 over invoice is a fair price to pay for this car.
