Ok, so today was the first time I put a DVD movie on my new S5 to test if it works. It worked and the movie was like surround sound. But honestly, who watches movies in their S5 ? lol.

The only thing I can think of is - to stay in my S5 and watch a movie while waiting for the wife go shopping .. haha.

You can VAG it and use it while driving.

We use it occasionally when we travel. Mostly for the wife in the passenger seat

I bought my A5 as a CPO car last year; it was one-owner, low mileage, To my surprise, the DVD playback worked at all speeds, and the trip computer also has a "lap" display in it. My understanding is that both of these are only enabled through VAG, so I have to assume the prior owner messed around a bit before selling the car back to the dealer.

I've used one DVD to test all my personal-built PC's for a long time now (Forbidden Planet with Robbie the robot) so I figured it would be fitting to now carry it in my A5. But truthfully only a test thus far, although I could see watching it when the wife's shopping someplace I don't want to be (which is most). I need to get a VAG cable as well.
