Default Help me figure out what I have.............

I just picked up a beautiful very low mileage 2013 S5 Cabriolet. I would love to know exactly what options were on the car and also if possible how rare of a color combination. I have not seen another one like it.

My understanding is the color is Volcano Red and it has black and silver two tone seats. Original owner indicated that there were only two in the States when purchased.

I have the build sheet? From the owners manual that I have attached. Is there a site that I can go to decipher it? Thank You John

I don’t know how far back they go but you might be able to get a duplicate Monroney Label.

That's the vehicle identification sticker. This has a truncated list of the PR codes, about 1/4 to 1/3 of them. The vehicle data sheet would have the complete PR codes list. Anyone with an active ERWIN subscription can pull that PDF doc for you. Or hit up a dealership or AudiUSA themselves. I got mine by asking AudiUSA.

WAU - Audi Germany passenger car
C - for an S5 cab, will be Premium Plus trim with quattro
G - 3.0L V6, so will be the 3.0T supercharged, as expected for an S5, as confirmed by the CGXC engine code
A - without rear side airbags
FH - type 8F, aka B8 A5/S5/RS5 cabriolet
4 - check digit
D - MY13, so facelift (B8.5)

1BD is the S sport suspension, not adaptive (that would be 1BL)
QZ7 is the standard electric power steering, not dynamic (that would be 1N8)
7K6 is indirect TPMS, not direct (that would be 7K8, but also wasn't offered in B8 except for MY09, before the indirect was legal approved; 7K0 would be no TPMS, such as in Canada)
JKS is a code for the standard open diff type 0BC, not for the sport diff type 0BF
NSC is a code for the DL501-7Q dual clutch transmission (DCT, do not call it a DSG, you do not drive a VW) aka type 0B5. No, you do not have a crown diff; it's a normal (for Audi) Torsen center diff
Q4Q is the S sport seats, N3M is the fine nappa leather, so you don't have the comfort seats (ventilated, neck heater), SU is the black/lunar silver seating
7X0, so no parking sensors, which means you don't have the MMI nav plus package, so no MMI, no nav, no backup camera, no front and rear park distance sensors
8Q3, bi-xenon HID headlamps, with autoleveling, without cornering (that would be 8Q5)

Basically, if you look at the MY14 order guide, it's an S5 cab P+ with zero options. The one option that can't be determined is the sound system. 9VD is the standard sound system, 9VK is the B&O sound system. But you can look at the door sail cards and see if there's a tweeter with a metal ring that says Bang & Olufsen on it to check that.

LY3M is volcano red metallic, seems it could have a black or brown roof. Don't know why it has just -- there. But as the order guide says right there "black/silver interior is not recommended with brown roof", .... As to it being "rare", whatever. Either you like it or you don't. Even if 1 in 10 were that color, how many B8 S5 cab do you see at all anyway.

Tried that. My 2016 became a 1986 year model ...

Smac, thank you so much for the thorough description. It does have the B&O system. I purchased it from my neighbor who is a car fanatic and changes out cars every 9 months to a year. He had this one for 9 months and when I saw him first bring it home I said let me know when your moving on....... He knocked on the door a couple weeks ago and said he was ready!

In that time he modified the navigation display and added back up camera. Swapped out the airbox to a O34 motorsports carbon fiber intake to hear the whine better. Jackal Motorsports Stage 1 tune and DCT tune. Has 60,000 left on the extended warranty so prolly no more performance mods. I plan to do some audio upgrades and that is about it.

You are correct I rarely see S5 cabrito's. Thanks again, this is a great forum.

PlanetVAG.com - VW & Audi PR Code Search Take each PR code and type them in here and then copy the page and past it into a text or word doc and save it and/or print. it.
