Leaking on floor? Oily transmission?
There are leak detector fluids you can add to oil and use UV light to find leak.
Only a quart every thousand miles? My 1969? Triumph 650 Trophy motorcycle (dry sump, etc.) went through a quart every 600-800! When I had the top end rebuilt to BMW specs (BMW dealer..LOL) with tighter piston/cyl clearances and death threats from mechanic if I went over 3000 rpm the first 500 miles or overheated it, I lost 1000 rpm on top end and 10mph....
BUT oil consumption essentially went to zero between oil changes. I sold the bike and had no problem with the decreased performance. Not a whole lot of diff between 103 and 113 on a bike. And it was a heckuva lot quieter.
Point is that Audi may not think one quart per 1000 miles is a lot...be prepared for not a lot of help.

OP, I have a '13 S5 Cab, went through oil consumption test and ended up having all pistons replaced under warranty at 47k miles. Since then haven't consumed an ounce of oil!!

+1. What is your A5's mileage? It won't hurt if you try another Audi dealer and ask if they'll help you get it covered under warranty. Otherwise, you need to contact Audi USA and make a plea for assistance directly. I am surprised that a 2013 2.0L TFSI engine would develop an oil consumption problem.

2012 Audi A5 w/ Oil issue at 64000 miles
Hi, I am also having excessive engine oil issue. Got tested at Dealership. Paid from my pocket for testing. ,consumed 0.7 qt in 800 miles. Since then, change the oil at 1100 miles. Dealer has quoted $4.5 k to do the repair. Any advice.
