I have had the dreaded shutter/jerk 2 times now so I decided to go ahead and take it in to get it looked at. The dealer told me that there were no fault codes but it did update the transmission software. (2.0T CVT)

Some A5 2.0T owners have reported that their cars shutter/jerk. There is one post on this message board. There is a whole thread on A5OC.com. I experienced it 2x so far so I took it in as I only have 2,000 miles on my car. I just had the tramission software updated today so I want to drive it some more before commenting if it worked.

I see, I ahve a 3.2 automatic I just got and the i get a very hard downshift. I wonder if this is what you are refering to. Even of not, I wonder if there is an update for my transmission. I will search more.
