Default Car Covers

All,

I need to purchase a car cover for my A5 before winter sets in. I have to keep the snow off of the vehicle, plus I need to cover it everyday for normal pampering. I have no problem purchasing a Storage Cover from Audi, but I wanted to see if other have experience with Audi's or if there is another cover out there that is more economical and useful. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance,
-Groove

I bought two...a $22 cover from walmart (Budge I believe), and it was pretty good. Good thickness, durable. Enough to keep off rain and snow although technically it lets the car 'breathe' so moisture doesn't stay trapped.

I then bought a custom fit CoverKing (Silverscreen material I think) from Costco for $120. It's lighter and thinner but is also reflective for the summer. One disadvantage of a custom fit is the car has to be clean or you'll potentially scratch the finish putting it on.

I think the Audi cover runs around $230? Didn't seem worth it to me.

Bought a Car cover from Cosco for 80 Bucks and it is works fine . As the former stated car must be clean or scratches will be the reward.

Default cover

If you want an OEM cover, go to http://genuinevwaudiparts.com and search Audi Accessories. They sell OEM stuff for much less than a regular dealer.

Btw, I have an original cover from Audi... I have to say it is a pretty tight fit. Make sure you wash your car really well before putting the cover on. Otherwise, you may scratch the pain.
