Greetings!

I'm moving over from the A3 forum as of today; finally got up the nerve to ante up and put a deposit down on a 2014 Volcano Red S5 with the following boxes checked:

Premium Plus S-Tronic
Nappa Black
Black Optic
Sport Diff
MMI
Carbon
B&O

Taking a bit of a chance with the Volcano Red (as they didn't have the color on the lot), but after looking at a lot of pics online (especially a few that had the Black Optics package), I feel fairly comfortable with the risk. My 2006 A3 was Lava Gray, so I wanted to try something different.

Looking at 60-90 days before delivery, so maybe by Christmas?

The S5 with Black Optics is WICKED. You are going to love that combo -- will look and feel like an RS5. They have a black S5 with black optics at my local dealer. OMG.

I love those wheels; they're aggressive, and the color takes some of the edge off of the volcano red (plus, they'll be a LOT easier to clean than the ones that were on my A3!).

I'm officially "in the fold"!

I actually got it at the end of November, but just haven't had the opportunity to take/post any photos of the car since then. I've added a clear bra to the front, door sills, and trunk area, and have been spending the little free time I've had trying to get up to speed on the MMI. This car is LIGHT YEARS beyond my 2006 A3...

Here are a couple of shots my salesman sent me when it arrived (he was teasing me because it arrived on a Friday just as I was heading out of town, so I couldn't pick it up until the following Monday)...

It is so beautiful! Just like my 2014 S5 but my is black. Congratulations and enjoy the beast.

Congratulations! You'll love the exclusivity of Volcano Red. I have a brilliant red S5 and have never seen another.

I'm so happy the majority have grey/silver/black.

I was *this* close to getting a monsoon gray, but my mother- my 70-year old mother, for Pete's sake- saw the volcano red color on the website and made the offhanded comment, "Why not get that color?"

The rest is history (and pics just don't do this color justice; every Audi dealership should keep this color on their lot IMO)...

ironically enough, I saw your car pop up on cars.com back in Nov but it was listed as red and not volcano red. I was shopping for missano red but with all the same options as yours. I contacted Jim Ellis that morning preparing myself to go buy your car but they called me and said it was a special order for someone else and not for sale. Small world. I ended up ordering missano red S5 from them which comes in a few weeks.

More fellow red S5 guys! Lets not brag too much. I would hate to see every other S5 in red. Let them have their blacks and greys.
