Default 2008 RS4 or New S5? Opinions please

I have owned a B6 S4 and loved it. On the fence between getting a new 2010 S5 or 2008 S5. Has anybody driven both that can give me their opinions? Or opinions in general about the two cars on which is better. I love drining and love performance. I also own a 2001 Porsche.

Driven both. Assuming the convenience of rear doors is not a factor, the only plus for the RS4 is it feels (and is) a little quicker and firmer. The S5 is way more sexy inside and out. Best choice for you depends on what's important to you.

haveing owned an rs4 for more than 1 year, and have been in a S5 for the better part of 10 months, I have to say overall that the 5 is a more pleaseing expearience, Overall, More so now that the car is equiped with a AWE exhaust with downpipe, and a stassis race suspension system.Wicked doesn,t come close to how this car is now, All i can say is WOW, Oh did i tell you how massively sexy it is?, well let me just say that the chicks really dig this car.

Since you already have a sports car in the 996 I suggest you get a v.quick practical car in the shape of the RS4.

I just made the same choice a couple of weeks ago and went with RS4. You can get a 2007 with less than 15k miles in the mid $40's. It's hard to argue with that value. The S5 is a beautiful sexy nimble cougar, while the RS4 is more of a velociraptor. More brutal looking and more deadly as well. It is a question of preference. Both are great cars.
