Default 09 S5 4.2L Oil Leak

Is there a way to tell if the valley pan gasket or oil filter housing gasket is leaking without removing the intake manifold??

I don't think so. No leaks yet on my 09 but on my 05 A6 w/4.2L I had a leak at the oil filter housing and I couldn't find it. I had it repaired under warranty but it seems to be a problem that will always come about because of the part that gets tweaked every time the oil gets changed.
