Default TPMS Error

I was driving on the Highway yesterday and the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring sytem) error came up. After about two mins it turned off and has not come on since then. Has anyone else experienced this before in the past?

This will happen from time to time. I've had it happen a number of times on my S4 over the years. Likely an interfering signal or something. I've also had it go off when travelling at high speeds for long periods of time.

Eric.

How smart are the tire pressure sensors?

What I mean is that in the Audi if you rotate the driver's front tire to the back, will the sensor know that it has changed position? With my current car, you had to go to the dealer to rotate tires so they could reprogram the location of the tire to the computer.

You set the tire pressures to where you want them and then you reset the TPMS sensors in the MMI system. It then knows what each tire should be. You can do this any time you intentionally change tire pressures.
