Default Hey Guys, Looking to make the Audi jump soon.

Hey guys! I'm going to start a new job pretty soon and the quite sizable income increase is going to permit me to buy a new car. I have a 2001 MB Clk 430 with some work into her, and don't get me wrong I love that car with my heart, but 13 years and not being the first owner has taken its toll. My new boss has a 3.2 A5, which is hilarious, as I've always wanted an S5 (I am a V8 junkie and avid car man). I just wanted to come here and ask about maintenance and the like. Over the course of owning this CLK, I have become pretty good at DIY, and was wondering if I will still have some of that capability on the S5. I am planning used, as the original model is still my favorite. Any words are appreciated, and don't be afraid to get technical with me. I'm also a pretty spirited driver, so fun is a huge factor.

Oh, and if anyone has owned an E90 series BMW (Coupe, Conv, or Sedan) AND/an A/S5, comparisons are vastly appreciated. Its the only other competition right now.

I'd say you should make the jump. While I haven't owned a v8 Audi I am on my second Audi and have nothing but good things to say. First one was an 07 A4 2.0T Quattro. Second (current) is a 2010 A5 2.0T Quattro Prestige with S-line and Sport Package. I've also got a GIAC tune in the A5.

Unfortunately we are expecting our first kid and I can't fit an infant car seat in the back of the A5 so I'm selling it But, I'm eyeing an Allroad.

I've got a buddy who is a pretty big BMW guy and he is always telling me how much he likes the A5. Also, on my A4 I've done some of the maintenance on my own and it's not bad at all. On the A5 I've been taking it to the dealership and I've honestly been really impressed with them.
