Default Audi Connect with ATT LTE Plan

Anyone know the cost of the new ATT Connect Plan with LTE introduced with the 2015 A3 Sedan in the US? I understand that you can add the data plan to your phone plan, but if you don't use ATT, what then?

My 3G plan with T-Mobile in my S5 is barely adequate, but does work for $15/month. I can get T-Mobile LTE on my iPhone, but not on the S5. With the new CarPlay support in iOS 7.1, I should be able to use LTE from my iPhone with the MMI in the S5, but who knows?

So far, only the new A3 will have AT&T 4G LTE capability. No backward compatibility for existing Audi Connect cars has been announced. Also, Audi has announced they are going forward with Google's Android integration - no mention of CarPlay in any of their press releases.

As far as I understand it, and this is coming from an Audi rep, the MMI 3G doesn't have a radio capable of operating on the LTE bands. No simple firmware update will change that. Also, the cell radio is a part of the actual MMI, so you won't be able to replace just the cell radio... The next iteration of MMI MIGHT be able to do it, assuming Audi has it in the works...and that MMI probably won't be backwards compatible with the current platform (assuming an interior update happens in 2016 with the B9).

**Edit: Also, the current radio in the MMI 3G doesn't operate on AT&Ts 3G band, which is why T-Mobile (or carriers on the same band) is the only choice for 3G.
